![]() Twilight Brew |
How could I NOT have a Twilight Brew? My roastery is located here on Washington State's misty, rainy Olympic Peninsula, near Forks and the Quileute Reservation, the setting of Stephanie Meyer's wildly popular series of books and movies. This is a sultry blend of African beans: A little on the dark side, with just enough . . . bite. |

This is a nutty medium-bodied organic coffee with chocolate notes and a sweet finish. It comes from a cooperative that provides marketing assistance and other programs for its members. Their goal is to prevent deforestation and use the best agricultural methods to preserve the environment. |

![]() Guatemalan Guaya'b |
This bean has been a favorite for years. It's bold, snappy and spicy, with a sweet finish. It comes from Guaya'b Asociacion Civil, a cooperative in western Guatemala where the farmers are of the ethnicity Maya-Popti. Guya'b is grown in the Cunca of Rio Azul (Blue River Valley) at an altitude of 3,250 to 5,250 feet under different layers and shade species which help reduce erosion and create a natural habitat for native and migratory bird species. |

![]() Elwha River Blend |
Restoration of the Elwha River here on Washington State's Olympic Peninsula is the inspiration for this new organic blend. It's a melange of beans from Africa and Peru - deep and fragrant. Fresh ground it will yield an aroma of dark fruits, such as fig and plum. This blend will work well as espresso or drip. |
$12.75 / lb. |
![]() Peru El Palto Decaf Water/CO2 Process |
I've had some really good decafs in the past, but this one is the best yet. It is practically undistinguishable from regular coffee. A relatively new CO2/ultra-pure water process leaves SO much more flavor in the bean. Upon grinding you'll get notes of dark chocolate with underlying floral notes. It's a smooth, full flavored brew and bolder than the Sumatra Decaf. |

![]() Zimbabwe Salimba |
A medium-bodied coffee with a hint of citrus in the grounds and a distinct brightness in the cup. Great for a more gentle wake-up in the morning or for a bit of a revival on a wintery afternoon. For a little more body, brew this in a French Press. |
$12.75 / lb. |
![]() Burundi AA Kahawa |
More info will be coming soon about where this new coffee is produced. As to the cup itself? - wow!! This is one of the best I've had in ages! It's not for the faint-at-heart. Think bold...heavy...intense....long finish. It's your perfect wakeup call for fall and winter! My artist friend, Katie Carlson, outdid herself on this image of a zebra found in Burundi. |
$12.75 / lb |
![]() Queen Erna's Ismaili |
Yemen Mokha Ismaili is one of the favorite coffees of Erna Knutsen of Knutsen Coffees in San Francisco. She is a pioneer in the coffee industry and at age 90 still at the office each day selling some of the best coffees in the world. This bean is petite, earthy - yet elegant, like Erna herself. It is a rare coffee, and thus - the price. It is fabulous in a French Press, and off the charts as a single origin espresso! |
